The First Xmas Away From Home of CIS Students

In the evening of Dec 11, 2013, CIS students currently studying Grade 12 in Niagara were invited to a warm Xmas party held by the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) to celebrate the season. Also presented at this party was Mr. Chi Tran, representative of CIS system in Canada.

This was the very first Xmas away from home of CIS students who has just come to Canada to finish Grade 12 at two secondary schools of DSBN in this August. Nguyen Trung Tu, CIS alumni who currently studies at Governor Simcoe S.S., shared that: “These get-togethers warm me and other CIS students in Ontario, since we can feel that we are being deeply cared for by DSBN. And that feeling deepens in such special times like Xmas, when we can’t go home to enjoy holiday with our family. This party made our first Xmas away from home special and meaningful!”
